Gladys Pauline Harris, 85 of Crawfordsville died at 1:30 pm. Sunday in Carment Nursing Home. She was a domestic housekeeper for 70 years. Mrs. Harris was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of Christ at Wingate. She attended Breeks (sic - Breaks) and Linden schools. She was born in Montgomery County Dec 21, 1911 to William and Vanda Whitecotton Thompson. She married Charles Harris on Aug 15, 1934. Survivors include a son, Russ of Waynetown; four brothers, Harold and Max Thompson both of Crawfordsville; John Thompson of Lafayette and Stanley Thompson of Port Charlotte, Fla; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and thre step great great grandchildren. A son, Jacki, two brothers and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday in Burkhart Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with Rev. Gordon Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Pleasant Hills United Church of Christ in Wingate. - kbz
